Don’t know if you’ve already noticed, but the fall is right around the corner! Don’t be sad because the vacation ended (when you get sad, just think that this year I had no vacation at all and consider yourself the luckiest person in the world :)))… And then just be happy: here it is your awaited new beginning! This is your chance to change things for the best, so start today! Maybe your new project is that of remodelling your house or just one room, so I thought I’d give you some ideas on what is in trend this season. Take a look here at the ultimate 5 design trends for fall-winter 2018:
1. Use intense yellow or even gold to give color accents to your room. Take care what colors do you combine it with, since you definitely want a stylish room. For example, you can use soft colors for the furniture and the walls, combine them with wood and then add some nice yellow pillows on the sofa. You will love the effect of that (if you like yellow, of course).

2. Burgundy Red conquered the world of design: the definition of vintage that becomes modern. You can either choose to use it for a wall and then use pastel colors or wood for the furniture, or prefer to give red color accents to the room, for example the sofa or just the pillows. Inspire yourself from this elegant bedroom from ModernNursery.com where Burgundy red is used to give contrast, while the walls and the main pieces of furniture are using pastel colours, in order to keep the design relaxing.

As you can see, these are all very elegant colors if used with consciousness, but they can easily become exhausting otherwise, so take great care on where and how you use them!
3. Navy Blue combined with gold gives the perfect touch to your room for this season. It might seem a little too much if you’re not used to it, but the truth is that blue has a calming effect. We might not feel it in the first second, but it is scientifically proven that blue is the color that relaxes us most. Imagine a combination of sky and see put together and you’ll find yourself in the middle of a wonderful scenery thanks to just one color. It is true that I usually prefer pastel colors, but nothing stops you on trying this season’s trends and use navy blue to accessorize your space. For example, take a look at this modern chair that gives a touch of color to the room without overdoing.

4. Big floral decorations for the walls are definitely back in trend. They give your space a nice atmosphere, making you feel closer to nature. However, if you like the floral theme, but you prefer to be less invasive, an intelligent option is that of using small pictures or sketches of plants and create a nice wall decorated with these framed photos. You can find ready to frame vintage botanical illustrations on the internet as the ones I’m suggesting to you in the image. I really reccomend these ones, since it is the ideal economical solution to get a nice vintage look for your livingroom. You can find some inspiration on how to bring green inside your house also here.
5. Last but not least: never underestimate the effect of geometric patterns for your furniture or for the accessories, like rugs and pillows. This will give harmony and order to your house: equilibrium is something we all need, isn’t it? If you like this theme, check out these simple, but fantastic patterns for cushions that will give you what you need: balance for your recent interior design project. And the best part is that it will cost you an insignificant amount of money to change the look of your house this way!
